Scandia Food, the leader in the Romanian meat based cans market, has chosen to use HERMES Evolution, the Transart’s solution for merchandising and sales force automation

Scandia Food, with its own brands (Scandia Sibiu and Bucegi) represents more than a half of the preserved meat market and the rest is provided by the retailers’ own brands which the company collaborates with, Scandia Food is producing around 80% of their private brands from the international store network (IKA).

In 2012 the company celebrated 90 years of activity. Also, in 2012 Scandia Food opened in Sibiu a high-tech factory, expanding their preserved meat market segment to the salami and sausage production segment.

By modernizing the production line, Scandia Food felt the need for modernizing the way in which sales force operates. For this, Scandia Food has chosen the HERMES Evolution solution – a market leader on the Sales/Field Force Automation in Romania.

The HERMES Evolution implementation for Scandia Food was done in two steps – first step was to implement the Merchandising module of HERMES Evolution application, next step was to implement also the Presales modules.

Currently, the Scandia Food merchandising team, with 35 representatives, is using HERMES Evolution – the Merchandising module, on Motorola ES 400 mobile terminals, runing Windows Mobile OS
